WHS Counseling Department Mission: 

The mission of the School Counseling Department is to ensure all students are provided with a quality education that prepares and inspires students with high standards of excellence in a globally changing world.  Westlake Professional School Counselors encourage equity and accountability through collaboration with parents, educators, and community stakeholders. The guidance and counseling program maximizes the potential of all students and prepares students to excel in a diverse, technological, and global society.

The vision of the Westlake High School Counseling Program is to provide equitable access to a data-driven comprehensive school counseling program that actively supports students in becoming lifelong learners committed to the ever-changing challenges of a global society.  As a result of their participation in the Westlake High School comprehensive school counseling program, our students have mastered the knowledge and skills of the rigorous and meaningful curriculum needed to achieve post-secondary success and are living purposeful lives by making a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.
